Our Club Assembly was quite busy with announcement of awarding of the District Grant to Griffin Rotary and Daybreak Rotary to support the after-school program at the Salvation Army. William Wilson, Brett Bell, and Randy Peters also explained the details of the proposed TSPLOST that is on our local November ballot.

UGA Provost Pamela Whitten spoke to Rotarians and guests at this week's meeting. Orla McDevitt, our 2017-18 GRSP Student was introduced by host Wade Miller. Orla is from Scotland and is enjoying her time at UGA. Club President Tom Gardner also presented a donation to Griffin Waypoint, a local nonprofit that provides resources for military veterans.
