We experienced an electrical blackout during Thursday's meeting and, unfortunately, our scheduled program could not be held. However, President Janice Wallace was able to induct Karl Broder as our newest Griffin Rotarian, and District Governor Raymond Ray presented the RI Zone 34 Public Image Award to the Club and recognized Bruce Bartholomew with the Governor's Centennial Award for his contribution to the Foundation's Centennial Project.

Tom Gardner presided over his first meeting of the Rotary Club of Griffin as Club President. Our program was presented by Clint Waltz, a turfgrass specialist with UGA's Turfgrass Program. Waltz spoke on the turf program at UGA and the economic and environmental impacts the program contributes through Georgia's turf industry.
