Please register and read the following before volunteer day: Paperwork Anyone who will be on-site will need to submit a one-time volunteer form using this link, https://form.jotform.com/91114626692155. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a guardian sign the form. Anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult with them while volunteering. No one under the age of 12 can volunteer. If you have already completed the paperwork, there is no need to complete again. Projects We will be helping with property maintenance tasks outside and in the barn. These projects may include but are not limited to cleaning feed and water buckets, washing the truck and trailer, clearing leaves, washing arena fences, clearing the riding trail, oiling tack, picking up litter, small landscape projects, sanitizing toys, organizing the educational space, etc. What to Bring You must wear closed-toe shoes. Dress for the weather in clothes that can get dirty. We do not allow open umbrellas on the property, so please wear rain jackets if necessary. Bring a water bottle, snack, and work gloves. We will have a room where you can store belongings, but we do not have secure storage. Directions Chastain Horse Park: 4371 Powers Ferry Rd., Atlanta, GA 30327 It's easiest to park in the "red lot" near the amphitheater and walk past the large covered arena. If you plug this address into GPS it brings you to the clubhouse—don't turn in there—the next parking lot/driveway north on Powers Ferry is the Red Lot. You will see signage for the therapeutic program and see the roof of the big, covered arena. We will meet in the barn directly next to the arena. Do not leave valuables in the car. Please call 256-749-3983 to reach our staff on the day of volunteering. When entering the barn, please do not pet the horses on the face (you would be making a horse's ass of yourself if you did) and be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate barn wear for weather conditions.
