Dr. Anshu Chandra is an optometrist and the founder of Haiti Eye Care, recognized for her 15 years of dedicated service advancing eye care for underserved communities in Haiti. She has played a pivotal role in building one of the largest eye clinics in the country and is committed to ending disparities in global eye care by delivering essential services to remote regions. Dr. Chandra’s work emphasizes health equity and sustainable care, and her leadership has impacted thousands through both direct patient care and the training of local professionals. Her efforts have established her as a visionary in global ophthalmology and community health.

Vinings Cumberland Rotarians invite the community to join them on the Second Tuesdays of the month to assemble lunch sacks (chips, sandwiches, etc.) that are distributed the next day by The Table on Delk to children getting off the school bus in the immediate vicinity of Delk Road and Interstate 75. 

The Table on Delk is committed to serving individuals at risk of sex-trafficking. Part of that mission includes addressing critical needs of mostly women and their young families to decrease that risk, desperation, and food insecurity. 

The Sack Pack is held in the Community Room at Fire Station No. 5 in Vinings (4336 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30339). Please park next door at "Another Broken Egg" (which will be closed at that time) and follow the sidewalk to the back of the Fire Station. The Community Room is the first door on the right (near the stairs).

David Miles, Senior Director of Resource Development
David is the Senior Director of Resource Development and is responsible for raising CNC’s contributed income, partnerships, and sponsors. He comes to CNC after serving as the Board Chair for the Chastain Park Conservancy. Previously he spent 25 years in Sales and Marketing in the Food Ingredient Industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University. David lives in Atlanta with his wife and three grown children.

Christie is the Naturalist Manager and Certified Interpretive Trainer at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.  She is an enthusiastic and engaging instructor!  Her passion is to spend time out in the forest.  She loves her job; working with staff, volunteers and animals; and connecting others with the joy of experiencing the wonder of our natural world.

Once a month, the bus loop at North Springs High School becomes a free resource distribution for local students and families. The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs and Fulton County Schools are partnering together to support this effort, led by The Link Student & Family Engagement Center in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Distribution begins at 4:00 PM and continues until supplies are gone.

Volunteers are welcome. Choose the shift that works for you:
Shift 1: 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM
Shift 2: 3:30 PM until supplies are gone
