Japanese Consulate program: "Walk in U.S., Talk on Japan"Add Guest

Project Overview “Walk in U.S.(Canada), Talk on Japan” program started in 2014. The delegation, led by former Japanese ambassadors or other public figures, visit various regions throughout the U.S. and Canada, and to share Japan’s attractiveness and its stories today through grassroots exchanges. Participants from Japan (3 or 4 excluding the head of delegations) with diverse backgrounds and expertise volunteer to join the program. While travelling in the U.S. and Canada, the delegation interacts with local communities, government officials, business people, and high school/university students and share their own stories about Japan as well as what is currently going on in Japanese society. I Past Delegations “Walk in U.S., Talk on Japan” program have so far dispatched 24 groups: 81 Japanese citizens with various backgrounds from 18-years old to 82-years old, from students, business people to traditional theater performers.
