Rotary Trivia fact of the week

Men With Friends; The Blue Boys; The Conspirators; The Round Table
What do these names have in common?

In 1905, at the third meeting in Chicago of our founding fathers, they considered each of these names for their new club which would eventually be called Rotary.

OKTOBERFEST
Sandy Springs Second Annual Oktoberfest Weekend was fun for all

On Saturday, October 26th, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs hosted their second annual Oktoberfest. Many put on their lederhosen and joined us for a Saturday afternoon of German themed fun. The entertainment lawn at Heritage Sandy Springs was filled with live music, Oktoberfest beers, German food, wiener dog races, bratwurst eating contests, kids activities, a stein hoist contest and more.

While Oktoberfest celebrations can be found all over the world, the main event (and the one closest to home) was in Sandy Springs.

All the proceeds go to the charitable programs that the Sandy Springs Rotary club supports for students, seniors, teachers and public safety personnel in our community.

There were many photos taken to commemorate the event. Many can be found here: 2nd Annual Sandy Springs Oktoberfest
