Service Opportunity
Helpers Needed for Kingsley Thanksgiving Baskets

It's time for Dunwoody Rotarians to help with our annual Thanksgiving basket project for Kingsley Elementary School - where 90 families will benefit from Thanksgiving dinner and more food they can use during the following weeks.

This coming week, we can specifically use help on:

  • Monday, November 17 for the Turkey Marathon at Publix on Chamblee Dunwoody - we need 8 to 10 people to meet there at 9:30 AM.  The check out process will fun as it has been in the past and will be over by 10:30AM.
  • Thursday, November 20 with basket distribution. We'd like to have at least two volunteers for each of the three distribution windows: 9 AM to 12 Noon ... 12 Noon to 3 PM ... and 3 PM to 5 PM. Baskets will be distributed at Kingsley, 2051 Brendon Dr, Dunwoody, GA 30338.

Please contact Charlie Augello - italian@e48stmarket.com or by text 770-235-9982 if you can help on either or both days.

Join Us for the Holiday Luncheon on Friday, 12/5

You and a guest are invited to join in a Dunwoody tradition ... the 41st Annual Holiday Luncheon on Friday, December 13 at the Dunwoody Country Club. Festivities start between 11:00 and 11:30 am. As always, we welcome your spouse or special guest.

RSVP now to Alison Norris (email: CallingDunwoodyHome@gmail.com) so we can reserve a spot for you.

We plan for the Dresden Elementary School chorus to provide some beautiful entertainment. And we hope to build a fine display of toys destined for donation to Toys for Tots! Please consider bringing a new, unwrapped toy to help spread some holiday joy this year to children and families in our community.

Service Opportunity
Annual Coats for Kids Drive

You may have read a story in the November District Newsletter about the Rotary Satellite Club of Atlanta Southern Crescent/Clifton-Emory's 2nd Annual Coats for Kids Project, led by Rotarian Angeli Abrol Dugall and her six-year old daughter Avya. Donations will go to Malachi's Storehouse, St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, an organization we have supported in the past that's just down the hall from Anchor Place Respite Care.

Avya actually made a presentation to her first-grade class about this project; Angeli says she is trying to instill the Rotary spirit in her child and other kids early!

If you would like to participate, you may drop items off at Malachi's - please let them know it's part of the Coats for Kids Project. If you would like to donate, please notate that this is part of the Rotary (RCCE) Coats for Kids Project. The project runs through November 30, 2025, but donations are always welcome. Most requested items are clothing, canned goods, toiletries and diapers. More information can be found here:  https://malachis.org/#donate
