Rotary International is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
The Rotary Club of Sandy Springs meets most Mondays at the Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Suites at 12:15 PM. The lunch program includes club business and also hosts guest speakers - business professionals, elected officials, non-profit leaders and others from the Sandy Springs area.
We’re always looking for ways to make an impact in the community; our club members are actively engaged with senior and youth programs that support leadership development and student scholarship. While our motto and most important feature of Rotary International is “Service Above Self,” we also work together in fellowship as we enjoy great camaraderie. Like us on Facebook Sandy Springs' Facebook Page to keep up to date on our club's activities!
I hope you will enjoy our weekly newsletter and I invite you to join us for lunch soon!

On October 31, 2016, the Foundation Director for District 6900, Margie Kersey, spoke to the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs about Rotary Foundation and gave an entertaining and concise presentation. For those who participated in the 100 Anniversary of the Rotary Foundation by giving a minimum of $26.50 which represented seed money for the foundation, an I Am A Proud Donor magnet was provided. President Lisa Stueve became a Rotary International Benefactor during the presentation. Each year, the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs coordinates three nights of dinners at Firehouse #2 so that all shifts of police, fire and EMS employees from all firehouses in Sandy Springs can have the chance to stop by for dinner. For the first time this year, a luncheon was added at the Sandy Springs Police headquarters to include as many police department employees who might otherwise not be able to come to dinner.
The meals are donated by community-spirited restaurants and caterers, and large enough to serve at least 70 people per night. Breadwinner Café donated lunch at the Sandy Springs Police Department on October 20, 2016. Brooklyn Café donated menu favorite Jack’s Creole Chicken, Sausage and Rice for Public Service Dinner #1 on October 25, 2016. Carl’s Café Catering donated his famous Bourbon Chicken with sides for Dinner #2 on October 26, 2016, and Ippolito’s (Sandy Springs) donated a full Italian meal for Dinner #3 on October 27, 2016.
Fulton County School Board member, Julia Bernath, a member of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs and the coordinator of this year’s Public Service Dinners, noted that there was plenty of food for everyone, even some leftovers that could be enjoyed by changing shifts.
