District 6900 News for April, 2019
DG Court with PDGs Bob Hagan and Raymond Ray at District Assembly this past Saturday |
|
By Court Dowis Every day as your District Governor, I have the opportunity to give myself the Gift of Rotary - spending time with the Rotarians of District 6900, whether it's enjoying breakfast or lunch at one of your weekly meetings or seeing the fine work you are doing to make our communities and the world a better place. This month has included:
- Celebrating the start of a new Rotary Club - the RC of Atlanta Brazil - as club #70 in the district
- Congratulating the Rotary Club of Buckhead on becoming a Million Dollar Club through their continued support of The Rotary Foundation
- Watching the growth of Rotary Means Business - giving indivdual members a chance to connect with each others' businesses and share their Rotary experiences across clubs
- Meeting with many of you at District Assembly in Columbus, Georgia last Saturday - as District Governor Elect Jim Squire and the district and club leaders for 2019-20 continue their preparation to lead and inspire us in the next Rotary year

Update from a GRSP Alumnus
By Lynn Clarke I
remember being told at the Conclave that my GRSP year would be the best year of my
life, and for me this couldn't be more accurate. It's really difficult to put
into words just how amazing this experience has been and I know whatever I
write won't do it justice. To put it simply, applying for GRSP is one of the
greatest decisions I have ever made and I am incredibly grateful for everyone
who made this experience possible.
