Every year since 1936, the Newnan Rotary Club has awarded the Cup to one outstanding graduate from each of Coweta County’s high schools, who best exemplifies a balance of leadership, scholarship and citizenship.
Our Club believes that the Rotary Cup is a great honor to its recipient, not just because it is bestowed by our club, but because the recipient has been chosen by the faculty of the institution.
Faculty members are asked to choose a student who best possesses a balance of both personal integrity and high personal and academic achievement. We believe those characteristics most closely represent the ideals of Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self, and we believe the teachers’ selection ensures a worthy recipient
