Rotary has Heart - First Responders Recognition
The District Governor challenged all clubs to recognize it's 1st responders and law enforcement agencies. Valentine’s Day this year Camilla Rotary took the opportunity (and challenge) to show “Rotary Has Heart”.Thanks to Rotarian Leslie Primo and Carl Shiver (employed with Golden Peanut) and one of their staff we served breakfast to many of the 1st responders.Valentine’s morning we brought breakfast to the 911 center.We invited the ambulance service, the Sheriff’s Dept., the Police Dept, the Volunteer Fire Dept and the Camilla Fire Dept.Joy Mobley (club president) pleasure of helping serve this great group of people.We set up at 5:45 am and served about 100-125 1st responders.For those that couldn’t attend Joy took food to the Sheriff’s office, Fire Dept, and Police Dept.Everyone was so appreciative; we glad for the opportunity to show our appreciation.
