First Annual PATRIOT FLIGHT

Mission: Governor Raymond Ray set the priority and it could not have been more perfectly aligned with the passion that President Jeff McCoy has for all of the men and women that make up the group we call "First Responders".

Prepare to be amazed by this video that captures the spirit of this most amazing first Patriot Flight by Roswell Rotary to honor the first reponders in our community.

The Project: The first annual Patriot Flight took off in September of 2016 under the leadership of President Jeff McCoy and Senator John Albers. Modeled after the successful Honor Air Program under the leadership of Gene Beckham, the Patriot Flight served to recognize and thank our Fire, Police & EMS departments within the Roswell community.

Taking Flight: RRC flew 60 first responders to New York City to visit "Ground Zero" and our new monument honoring 9/11.As you can see by the pictures below, we visited the 9-11 memorial and museum and toured ground zero.

Radio and TV coverage in Atlanta was wall-to-wall with announcements about the escorted bus ride to the airport and Channel 5 (Fox) affiliate giving full coverage upon return and on the late night news.

This is Roswell Rotary's way of showing we care for first responders and this project brings awareness to the community of the key role they play in our lives.
Partner Involvement
The City of Roswell Fire, Police and EMS helped make sure our community was well served while a good portion of their staff enjoyed being honored on the Patriot Flight.
