On Tuesday, September 13th the LaGrange Rotary joined with the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce in the fourth year of honoring public safety personnel who have stood out in the past year.
"This is a picture from the morning where we partnered in the Valor Awards. We sponsored the Public Safety Unit of the Year Award," said Rotary Club President Jake Jones. "The LaGrange Police Department K-9 Unit won the award."
The LaGrange Police Department K-9 Unit was credited with close to 7,500 interactions this past year plus they also assisted with other agencies. LaGrange Rotary took this opportunity to highlight the service that the officers of the LaGrange K-9 Unit give to our community.
The event was well attended with Rotarians as well as individuals from across Troup County. It is indeed an honor to have the opportunity to recognize the men and women, and in this case the dogs, who willingly serve all of us on a daily basis.
