Family of Rotary: The 21st Annual Mayor's Corporate Challenge

The Alpharetta Mayor’s Challenge Race is Alpharetta Rotary’s largest fundraiser for the year. Alpharetta Rotary set a record-setting year by raising over $130,000 at the 2016 event. These dollars will be used to directly support local charities such as, North Fulton Community Charities, Drake House, Homestretch, Lionheart School and the YMCA. The funds also have a global impact on Polio Eradication, Literacy, Clean Water Projects and Humanitarian and medical aid.

The Mayor's Challenge Race has become a well attended community event for companies and families to have fun and enjoy downtown Alpharetta. Spectators enjoy food trucks and music while the runners are challenged by a very hilly course. With a thousand runners and spectators in attendance, the club has 100% participation in volunteering and gaining sponsorships! We also enlist the help of family members and Interact Members.

The Alpharetta Rotary 5K Mayor’s Corporate Challenge was made possible by the generosity of its corporate sponsors: presenting sponsor LexisNexis Risk Solutions and silver sponsors Wellstar and Choate Construction.

The Community Event has been so popular with the Alpharetta Corporate Community that the City of Alpharetta Economic Development Team highlighted the race as part of its video promotions to prospective companies looking to relocate to a Tech Community with a small town feel.
