Buddy Bags for Children in Crisis

Buddy Bags ins a three-year-old ministry with approximately 20 active members who meet weekly. Alpharetta Rotarians are volunteers of this group. As of September 1, 2016, over 1,772 Buddy Bags have been given to over 30 organizations including fire and police departments.

A bag consists of a canvas bag stuffed with a hand-stitched teddy bead, blanket, coloring book, reading book, crayons and a folder with writing and drawing paper.

Buddy Bags are intended for children who find themselves in a crisis situation, which can include a health crisis, home fire, or accident. Buddy Bags are also given to children who are placed in foster care.
