Homestretch Jobs Program

HomeStretch is an organization that addresses some of the root causes of homelessness in our community. Alpharetta Rotarians serve as Financial and Life Mentors for the families and have created a program to aid Homestretch residents in their job search.

As part of the mentorship process, Alpharetta Rotarians Sidney Browning and Randy Schiltz, discovered that there was a real lack of quality job placement for the Homestretch Residents. Although they were working 40 or more hours a week, residents were working multiple jobs or through temp agencies that were not getting the insurance benefits or income stability that they needed to rise above the poverty line.

Together with Homestretch and the other Rotary Clubs of the North Fulton Council (Sandy Springs, Johns Creek, Roswell, North Fulton and Milton Windward), Sidney and Randy has created a jobs networks were Rotarians can place qualified homestretch residents into jobs that fit their skillset. There has been a few successful placements from the program and the hope is to expand it with other business organizations and chambers in the area.
