Annual Rotary Golf Tournament

This year's golf tournament is set for April 27th at the Highland Country Club. This annual event is our main fundraiser that helps our LaGrange Rotary's Youth Challenge Program as well as a few other projects.

This event is our most popular fundraiser and includes club members as supporters, golfers and workers. Family members are also included in the day's fun, it is an event that we all look forward to each year.

Between our contact with community members, both Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike, this event is also a great public relations project.Club members are responsible for gathering support for the event throughout the community. Hole sponsors and golf teams along with prizes for the golfers are secured. Besides prizes for the hole-in-one and the top golf teams we also have three major raffle prizes that businesses in our community have donated. Each golf team is also given a team picture for each of their members. Each contributing business/sponsor also receives a LaGrange Rotary participation certificate.

After expenses, this event usually yields about 5,500 dollars which is used exclusively for our club projects.

Because this event involves so many community members and is so well known this project is also really a public relations project.
