Bylaw Changes to Membership Structure

Bylaw Changes to Membership Structure

The Henry County Rotary Club is in the process of revising its bylaws.

Change 1 - Admission Fee is to be paid prior to acceptance for membership and includes the cost of registration with the district and RI as well as a donation to the Rotary Foundation in the new member’s name. Additional fees in the old bylaws have been removed to lower the Admission Fees in order to be more competitive with other locals service clubs.

Change 2 restructures the types of memberships and dues associated with each.

·Hoary Memberships - no dues paid

·Active Memberships - $1,000 per year with an annual $500 fundraising obligation. Dues include Will Wyatt , Paul Harris and any periodic fees from RI or the district

·Active/Retired Memberships - $800 per year with an annual $200 fundraising obligation. Dues include Will Wyatt , Paul Harris and any periodic fees from RI or the district

·Active/Rule of 85 Membership - $800 per year with an annual $200 fundraising obligation .Dues include Will Wyatt , Paul Harris and any periodic fees from RI or the district

Our Club has added new Active Corporate Memberships. There are 3 levels of the corporate memberships. There are as follows:

·Gold Corporate Membership includes membership for 3 employees, and event sponsorship credit of $2,000 all for annual membership dues of $4,000

·Silver Corporate Membership includes membership for 2 employees, and event sponsorship credit of $1,500 all for annual membership dues of $3,000

·Bronze Corporate Membership includes membership for 1 employee, and event sponsorship credit of $1,000 all for annual membership dues of $2,000

As mentioned above these changes have not been fully approved by our club at this point. We do expect these to be ratified by the club by May 2017.
