District 6900 Country Store

When the call went out for the need for merchandise to be offered at the District 6900 Country Store at RI Atlanta's Convention the students of the West Georgia Community Interact Club responded. It was decided that handmade beaded bracelets would be a great souvenir for visitors. When LaGrange Rotarians also volunteered to help make the bracelets it became a joint project between the two clubs.

The bracelets are made on an elastic strand using a variety of colorful beads. Each bracelet also has two silver charms, a Georgia peach and a key to Atlanta. The bracelets are then packaged in a clear plastic bag along with a RI 2016-2017 commemorative USA million-dollar bill. The package is closed with a bright blue curled ribbon with a label that clearly states that the bracelet was especially made for the recipient and signed with the first name of the creator. We have made a commitment to our District of suppling 150 such bags.

Since all of the materials are being donated by the members of the two clubs all of the funds that will be collected will go entirely to Rotary International's "End Polio Now" Campaign. At this time we are going to leave the pricing of the items up to the District Country Store Team but we suggest that they be offered for either $10 or $5 each.

This is a fun and useful project, we are all glad to help.
