LaGrange Annual Christmas Parade - Jungle Bus

This is the twelfth year that the LaGrange Rotary has been involved in the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. This 44th annual Christmas Parade's theme was "Christmas to the Rescue".

This Christmas parade was another opportunity to keep literacy in the minds of our community members. The Troup County School District, the Rotary Club of LaGrange and the United Way sponsored the Jungle Bus again in this year's parade.

The Jungle Bus is a converted school bus that is designed to bring books and literacy experiences to children in their own neighborhoods throughout Troup County. Our Rotary Club contributed to its creation and helps to support it throughout the year.

Unfortunately, due to the present COVID-19 limitations the Jungle Bus can be as active in the community as it usually is, so it was even more important to have it in this year's parade.

The parade was covered by the local newspapers and was televised by the LaGrange cable network. The night of the parade was enjoyed by all.
