Mayor's Corporate Challenge 5K

The 27th annual Mayor's Corporate Challenge 5K Fundraiser and Community Engagement Event is the only 5K road race allowed in downtown portion of Alpharetta. The race has grown since inception into a community engagement event with a number of local organizations, businesses, and corporations participating. We provide a family friendly evening of music, food, children's fun area along with a children's fun run and the 5K road race. The event is open to both corporate teams and individuals.More than 1,500 runners participated.  

Money raised supports most of Alpharetta Rotary's philanthropic efforts.  The beneficiaries include:  Grants were awarded to our continuum of care partners –(Homestetch, Family Promise, Drake House Society of St Vincent DePaul, and Habitat)who for housing stability, to our food insecurity partners (North Fulton Community Charities and Meals by Grace and to our Senior partners (North Fulton Senior Services) and to education programs (Innovation Academy and Rotary Leadership Youth Academy). Internationally we continued to get support for the Kibeam Project that provides an learning to read opportunity for children around the world. We also support members matching grants that allow us to increase our impact to organization that meet our members passions (DOT Ministries, Operation Smile, Reved Up Kids, Jafuta Foundation, Champions Place, The Honduras Agalta Valley Agalta Foundation.

Global points of impact include polio eradication, literacy, clean water and humanitarian and medical aid.
