Thursday Speaker: Zach Fields Leadership 20/20

Leadership 20/20 in 2023 is a 20+year collaborative tradition. Each RHS teacher nominates a student demonstrating leadership qualities in their classroom. This is personally a favorite for this nomination because it is not dependent on athletics, academics, or the arts. We get to host a wide scope of the RHS student body for the day, where these students will learn what type of leader they are (due to the DISC test) and, therefore, how to work with other types of leaders. The afternoon is filled with breakout sessions centered around living a life of service, whether as an entrepreneur, a professional in the non-profit, military, or for-profit sectors after high school.

For the last 5 years, our own Zach Fields has been the students' favorite, per the student surveys. So, we are excited to have him be the featured speaker for the general meeting and hear how he went from being a high school student to being responsible for reintroducing construction programs in high schools throughout Georgia (and beyond).

More about Zach: Zach Fields serves as Vice President for the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia. He supports over 150 skilled trade programs in Georgia’s public schools. As a former high school teacher, he is driven by a passion to connect young people to the incredible opportunities in the skilled trades. Zach coordinates CEFGA’s K12 Pipeline initiative with trade associations, individual employers, GADOE, and SkillsUSA to advance and elevate the craft training programs in the state. He is an NCCER Master Trainer and serves on boards for TradeFive, Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education (GACTE) and the Trade and Industrial Educators of GA (TIEGA). Zach is an active member of the Roswell Rotary Club, middle school leader coach at North Point Community Church, youth football coach, average woodworker, proud husband and father of four.
