Cheers to Thomasville!
The Rotary Club of Thomasville was honored to be nominated to receive an award at the 20th annual Cheers for Volunteers by the local nonprofit organization, Hands on Thomas County. The Club was recognized for the work they do with the Scott Senior Center. Program Chair, Angela Williamson, was presented a hero’s cape, raffle tickets and a number of Rotarians were there to represent the Rotary Club of Thomasville. Club members also go to enjoy food, drinks, and a live band.
Editor's Note: With a little Facebook research, we found evidence of Thomasville's heart for seniors. The club used a grant to provide goody bags for seniors at Scott Senior Center. In addition, they have also planned birthday parties and Valentine's parties with their grant funds. The picture comes from Facebook in December.
