As a licensed structural engineer, Professional Engineer, licensed in 40 states, and licensed General Contractor in Georgia and other states, Raffensperger successfully founded Tendon Systems, a provider of high-strength steel for construction projects. Under his ownership, Tendon Systems grew to become the southeast's largest post-tensioning specialist contractor with approximately 150 employees and projects in over 40 states. Harris's film and video work has been screened at film festivals nationwide including the San Francisco Documentary Festival, the Brooklyn Arts Council Film Festival and the Atlanta Film Festival. He was the Post-Production Supervisor for "The Adventures of Ociee Nash" (distributed by Twentieth Century Fox), and the director of the feature-length musical, "Last Ride," which was praised as "ambitious" and “visionary. "Most recently he was the post-production supervisor for the short opera film, “The Prairie Dog That Met the President” which won awards at the San Diego International Kids Film Festival and the Nature Without Borders Film festival and “I Am Here” which screened at more than a dozen film festivals internationally. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Digital Filmmaking and Art from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Davidson College. He is currently the Interim Department Chair for the Department of Film, Communication, and Performing Arts at Clayton State University where he teaches film production courses.
| 16 12:15p Thomasville: Rotary meets at Vashti Guest It's a long held tradition for our club to meet at Vashti on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Vashti staff will provide a delicious Thanksgiving meal, an update on Vashti's programs for children will be given by Executive Director David Sofferin, and club members will leave a donation to Vashti in appreciation for their good works. At the meeting, the winner of the $2000 raffle for downtown dollars will be drawn and announced. 6p Dunwoody: Thirsty Thursday Join us for drink, fellowship and the second Whiskey-Raffle drawing.
