In celebration of Read Across America (Dr. Seuss’s Birthday) and to promote literacy, Roswell Rotary is again participating in Read Across Roswell Day on Thursday, March 2nd! Welcome baskets are prepared for women who have been rescued from prostitution. They are picked up and taken to a safe house. This basket contains toiletries, towel and wash cloth, hairbrush and comb and a Life Recovery Bible in a usable laundry basket and is given to each woman to keep.

Rotarians and their guests are invited for a fun night out at Bold Monk Brewery.  Socialize over a beer or your beverage of choice (full bar), enjoy a slider or two (food to keep you satiated), and learn more about beer during our brewery led tasting.

 There is no additional charge for Rotarians and guests are $30.

 Bold Monk Brewery is located at 1737 Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard Northwest. Take 85 south to 75 North, Exit 252B Howell Mill Rd. Left onto Howell Mill Rd, Right on Chattahoochee Ave, Right on Ellsworth Industrial. The brewery is on the right. Follow signs for “Complex additional parking F and Bold Monk Brewery”.  Park behind the brewery and walk up the path to the entrance.

The Extension is a faith based, 12 step, recovery program for both men and women.  The residential program has Marietta facilities on Church St. Extension for the men and Holiday St. for women.  North Cobb Rotary has provided dinner on a monthly basis for going on 15 years.  It is a chance to get to know your fellow members in service as well as provide some encouragement for the men and women in recovery.  Residents are required to gain employment during their residence, and they receive counseling, job preparation and life skills in addition to the recovery process.  This is an opportunity to get to know your members and be an encourager to these residents as they transform their lives.
