| 2 12:15p Thomasville: Chip Blalock - Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition Guest The Sunbelt Ag Expo is an agricultural-based trade show held at Spence Field in Moultrie, Ga. Known as “North America’s Premier Farm Show”® the annual event has more than 1200 exhibitors showcasing the latest in farming technology. Whether you are a large acreage production farmer or a weekend lifestyle farmer the Expo is an event you don’t want to miss.
The Expo’s unique site has a 100-acre exhibit area adjoining a 600-acre working research farm. In the exhibit area, which includes both outdoor and indoor exhibits visitors will find every imaginable product or service a farm could ever need. In addition to the static exhibits visitors can attend educational, entertaining seminars and demonstrations offered in a variety of specialized areas. Visitors can ride take a tram from the exhibit area to the fields where cotton, peanuts, corn, soybeans, and hay are being harvested. These harvesting demonstrations, as well as tillage demonstrations, equipment driving ranges, irrigation technology and precision ag demonstrations all provide opportunities to see and compare a wide range of equipment in an actual working setting. Annie and her husband Jordan now happily call downtown Thomasville home, and Annie spends her days among the books and fellow readers she loves. She adores leading story time for local little ones and acting as the shop's very own Nancy Drew, determined to find just the right book for just the right person. Annie also hosts From the Front Porch, The Bookshelf's weekly podcast about books, small business, and life in the South. In 2016, Annie was featured as one of Southern Living magazine's 50 innovators changing the South, and in 2019, she was selected as a member of the Booksellers Advisory Council for the American Booksellers Association. 12:15p Roswell: Steve Stroud Guest Steve Stroud is the Executive Director of Roswell Inc, a 501c6 nonprofit that promotes economic development through a public-private partnership with the City of Roswell. Since the organization’s inception in 2012, Stroud has held this position and under his leadership, Roswell Inc has developed networking, educational and support programs for small businesses, marketed Roswell’s Opportunity Zone to increase the number of certifications, and worked one-on-one with business owners, entrepreneurs and state project managers to retain, expand and recruit businesses to Roswell.
Over the last 4 year’s Roswell Inc has worked on more than 400 recruitment, retention and expansion projects, creating or retaining more than 5,000 jobs and generating more than $2.25 million in one-time generated revenue and $1.95 million in cumulative annual revenue. Since the onset of COVID-19, Stroud has also served on the Mayor’s Recovery Task Force in Roswell and the North Fulton Economic Recovery Task Force. | 10 | 11 8:30 Johns Creek North Fulton: Patriot Day Commemoration - 20th Anniversary The community is invited to attend a Patriot Day commemoration event in remembrance of the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The event, hosted by the Rotary Clubs Johns Creek and Johns Creek/North Fulton.
The free event will honor the survivors and the people and first responders who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks. The commemoration event will feature remarks by Lt Gen Glenn Spears, USAF, Ret., community resident and Twin Towers survivor Beth Zampieri and Commander Kimberly George, USN, with musical performances by the Autrey Mill Middle School Chorus and Brent Davis, Baritone Soloist. The JCFD and JCPD will also participate.

Play Golf, Do GoodSeeing a need for a community fundraiser, Roswell Rotarians Frank Brown, Judge Maurice Hilliard and former Mayor of Roswell Aubrey Greenway began a golf tournament in 1978. The first tournament, raised $3500 for charities in the North Fulton community. While the tournament initially started as a Rotary event, it has grown into one of the largest 100% volunteer community fundraisers . Today, the golf & tennis tournaments continue to support charities in North Fulton and generate close to $200,000 a year. The tournament attracts large and small business sponsors and individuals in North Fulton looking to make a difference in the areas in which they live and do business. The tournament was named after Aubrey Greenway, after his death in 1991. Aubrey was a dedicated local businessman, civil servant and Roswell Rotarian. Thanks Aubrey!

and received an associates degree from Clayton Jr. College. Jim earned a B. S. In Psychology from Ga. State
University and is a graduate of Griffin Tech in HVAC.
Jim has worked at Arrowhead Barber Shop (shoe shine boy), Jonesboro Dairy Queen, Clark’s Super Gas,
Treasure Island Grocery and General Engineering (all in Clayton County) thru high school and college. He was
Vice President of Corbin Gas Company, operations manager at Peachtree Trane Air Conditioning, and
President of Corbin Comfort Systems, 1988-2020.
Jim married Dottie Dunn of Morrow in 1978 and she raised two great kids; Morgan, 38 and Danielle, 36. He is a

During our regular meeting time, we encourage individuals to attend the Tucker Business Association Meeting 12:15p Thomasville: Regular Meeting - Dr. Edward Shaw - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) of Moultrie Guest Dr. Edward Shaw received his BS in Biology from Georgia Southwestern State University. After receiving his PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Health's Rocky Mountain Laboratories. He then spent four years as a microbiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta before taking a faculty position at Oklahoma State University.
During his 15 years on the faculty at OSU, Dr. Shaw taught biology, immunology and graduate level courses in emerging infectious diseases and bacterial pathogenic mechanisms. He also directed an active research group studying the molecular mechanisms of obligate intracellular bacterial pathogens.
In 2019, Dr. Shaw joined the faculty of PCOM South Georgia as an associate professor of medical microbiology and immunology. He is also the program director of the biomedical sciences program.

Registration will be at 8:30am and the event will last about 3 hours or until you've collected all the trash you can haul. This is a perfectly suited socially distanced outdoor service opportunity for our club. Additionally it promises to be a lot of fun for a good cause. Our own clean river advocate Dutch Earle is, as usual, organizing our group however will be unable to attend that particular morning. Dutch asks that you contact him early to sign up so we can provide a head count.

We’re joining up with the national “Walk with a Doc” program for a 2 mile and a 3.5 mile walk at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. In addition to the 100 reasons to walk, the 101st is to make room for Roswell Rotary’s fried chicken for lunch. And there are several bonuses to participating in this community event Get advice from this month’s presenter, A Step Ahead’s physical therapist Kim Richards. Before we walk, she’ll give a 10 minute talk on ‘life hacks to keeping you moving pain free.’ She’ll then join us on the walk so that you can talk with her 1-on-1. Free admission to the Nature Center, including free parking. And you’re welcome to stay after the walk and enjoy more of the Nature Center’s beautiful and educational facilities. | 29 | 30 12:15p Thomasville: Regular Meeting - Gordan Rogers Executive Director Flint River Keeper Guest Gordon Rogers was raised in South Georgia. He graduated high school from Glynn Academy in Brunswick and attended college at Oxford College of Emory University (Oxford), the University of Georgia (Athens), and Skidaway Institute of Oceanography (Savannah).
Following formal schooling Gordon was employed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources at their Coastal Resources Division office in Brunswick, initially as a fisheries statistician and later as a marine biologist and policy analyst. After 10 years at GADNR he worked in the waste and recycling industry for 9 years. He has also fished professionally and taught about fishing. He served as the Executive Director and Riverkeeper® at Satilla Riverkeeper® for five years, and was appointed ED and Riverkeeper® for the Flint in 2009.
Gordon and his wife Gina have three grown children: daughter Jamie Leigh, sons Joe and Quint. They are proud grandparents of Brooks, born during the winter of 2021. Gina and Gordon live in Talbot County on a farm along the Flint River at Old Ypsilanti, the site of a defunct cotton gin and general store.
