FAMILY OF ROTARY
Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynn Dunn and all news should be directed to her at lynn.dunn@rmcpa.com
Amy and I are just returning from our District Conference where we shared in fellowship with other likeminded Rotarians from District 6900 and celebrated another year of great accomplishments in making our world a better place to live. Roswell Rotary once again shined as we will bring home some new felt to hang up for Club of the Year! Congratulations to Lynne and her leadership and every Roswell Rotarian who made it all happen. Also, a special thanks to Chris and Tracy Archer who did a great job in the hospitality suite with great food, beverages and of course lots of fun dancing. We are a month into a new Rotary calendar year and award or no award, Roswell Rotary will continue to do what we do best, give back to our community and have fun doing it! Roswell Rotary Rocks!
Speaking of giving back, you don’t want to miss this week’s meeting! We will be hearing from our very own Talaya Parker about how Home Stretch is truly changing lives. Coach McFarlin will also be calling on some of his good friends who are professional baseball and football players to join us at our meeting and talking about their commitment to helping in our golf and tennis tournament. Some hall of fame players will be at our meeting and we ask that you are respectful of their time at our meeting as there will be opportunities on September 13th at Brookfield CC for autographs. Also Tim McFarlin has a special surprise for us. We would like to start the meeting at noon this week so please come early if you can!
Since 1993, HomeStretch has been guiding working homeless families toward increased self-reliance and stability. HomeStretch provides supportive housing and programs that equip working families to regain and sustain permanent housing. Talaya Parker, HomeStretch's Executive Director, will share how HomeStretch is impacting our community.
