FAMILY OF ROTARY
Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynn Dunn and all news should be directed to her at lynn.dunn@rmcpa.com
Special Olympics
In every corner of the world, Special Olympics is changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and Roswell Rotary was there this weekend to help. Rotarians teamed up with the Roswell Police department to generate over $4,600 in donations by jumping into the frigid cold waters of Lake Acworth. Thank you to all who donated to this cause and especially to those who froze their you know what off for those with disabilities.
While some of us were taking a dip in the lake, others were busy adding a face lift to Bulloch Hall with a new coat of paint and some vegetation maintenance. Thanks for all who came out for both of these service projects!
You won't want to miss this week's meeting where we will honor some of our high school athletes via the Skipper Hoke awards. NFL great Michael Haynes will be our key note speaker!
Some memories about Michael Haynes with the Falcons..."Haynes was a dangerous deep threat with speed who absolutely ate defensive backs alive, and he had one of the most productive single seasons in franchise history before the likes of Roddy White and Julio Jones came along."
He really came into his own in 1991, however. Haynes was an absolute monster that year for the Falcons, snagged just 50 balls and turning them into 1,122 yards and 11 touchdowns and averaging an absurd 22.4 yards per reception. He was a key player on a team that made the playoffs for the first time in a very long while, and he proved it wasn’t a fluke by following it up with 48 balls, 808 yards and 10 touchdowns in 1992.
Fellow Rotarians we have reached our goal of signing up 60 Donors for our 2/22/22 Blood Drive at Gate City Brewery! Thanks to all that have signed up or encouraged loved ones to do the same. Every pint matters as supplies are so low right now. It’s a great feeling to know that you’re giving the gift of life! If time permits please drop by the Blood Drive on Tuesday. We would love to see you and just maybe we can talk you into giving!
Now that we have our donors scheduled, we now need to get everyone to join our Roswell Rotary Team on the Red Cross Donor App – It’s a simple process you just scan the QR Code, Click on the IMPACT tab at the bottom – Click on “Roswell Rotary” in search to join. Teams are a great way to raise more blood donations and to show our community how Rotarians “roll up their sleeves!”

As always, we want to thank Pat Rains and Michael Curling for the current and past help saving lives in our community.
