President Alex's Message photo credit: PhotoMari-USA Fellow Rotarians - Wow! What an amazing couple of weeks!
Last week, Representative Guffey was nothing short of passionate, inspiring, and humble. His message on mental health and the loss of his son resonated with the Club. Special thanks to Becky Nelson for inviting him to share his message.
We also had a successful Golf/Tennis/Pickle Ball Tournament this Monday. Thank you to Bob Clarkson and his entire team (and all of the volunteers, sponsors, and players) for a meaningful and fun event. Having the event coincide with our 9/11 Remembrance and our Rotary Cup competition for our First Responders really made the day special. As a reminder, we do not have our normal meeting on Thursday. See you next week!

Click Here to Sign Up to Volunteer Notice of Dues IncreaseFellow Rotarians: We have not increased our dues since Gordon's year as President - nearly 5 years ago. As you are all aware, food costs and other operational expenses have increased over the past years. As such, this July the Board voted to increase dues as part of the annual budget approval process. The dues are in line with the maximum % increase allowed by our bylaws. (5%). We are talking about $12.50 per quarter. While the Board did not want to increase dues, we collectively believed it is in the best interest of the Club's operations to do so. Should you have questions, please let me know. Thank you for being a Roswell Rotarian. Alex B. Kaufman Roswell Rotary Club President, 2023-2024 404-964-5587 RRAH Meeting Recap
Roswell Rotary After Hours met last week and welcomed past RRC President Lisa Carlisle! She spoke to the club and shared "tales from a recovering perfectionist." Her energy and passion was contagious as she shared tips related to decision-making, motivation, organization and goal setting. The club left feeling refreshed and ready to take on the week. Thank you, LIsa! The next RRAH meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 19th at 6:30 at The Artillery Room. The speaker will be Zac Adkins from One Percent Harder. Zac is an advocate for physical and mental health who strives to inspire others to achieve their goals by working "one percent harder" each day.
