Welcome Leadership 20/20 Students C.J. Stewart Speaker
By best accounts this week Roswell Rotary will host the 30th Leadership 20/20. What a privilege for this long standing respected day to host the emerging leaders from Roswell High School nominated by a RHS teacher. They will learn more about their own leadership style as well as other types so they can just be better at living a life of Service Above Self. The morning session, facilitated by Anne Quiello with Turknett Leadership Group and Heidi Grau with Carrier, will talk through the DISC assessment so the students will know how many different leadership styles there are especially in professional settings. Lunch will host our featured speaker, CJ Stewart, past President of the West End Rotary Club, current Interact Chair for District 6900 and Executive Director of LEAD/Center for Youth. He will share how he decided that “where he started does not determine where you finish”. Stewart was raised in Hollywood Brooks, one of the poorest and most dangerous apartment complexes in Atlanta. He used his skill as a baseball player to see the world and break the statistics by not only graduating from high school but also being drafted not once but twice to play in Wrigley Field. Once home and married to the love of his life, Kelli, he decided to help others gain the tools to succeed beyond the statistics. Our afternoon of breakout sessions will allow the students to engage in topics of Service for Community (CJ Stewart), Service for Authentic Self (Zach Fields), Service through Service (Military) and Service for ALL (Mental Health). Please be sure to introduce yourself and congratulate the students and welcome the adults from RHS, RHS PTSA and all others who have made this meeting a success after months of planning.
