President's Message Happy New YearI hope you all had a wonderful holiday season surrounded by friends & family and 2020 is off to a great start. This year the new year is a half way point for me. It isn't a fresh start but a continuation of a year leading this great club in service to our community. I look forward to finishing the Rotary year strong and celebrating all of our hard work on Jeykll Island this Spring. This Week's Speaker The Pease Brothers - Beyond The FinishUpon witnessing Brent complete his first IRONMAN competition, Kyle asked Brent a life-changing question: “Can people in wheelchairs do IRONMAN?” Brent never hesitated with his response. The answer was a resounding yes. Learning from others and through their own hard work, the brothers competed in IRONMAN competitions around the country and were ultimately awarded the opportunity to participate in the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. In this memoir that interweaves both their perspectives, Kyle and Brent recount the experiences that shaped the strength, tenacity, and undying bond that has resonated between them since childhood. Wednesday, January 8 | 5:30PM - 8PM Join Us For Hump DayJoin your fellow Rotarians for a bit of fun mid-week. Bring your significant other or a prospective member. Stop by for a drink or stay for dinner either way, we hope to see you there! Thursday, January 30 | 6PM-9PM Art Show Benefiting End Human Trafficking Now
With January being National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, it is the perfect time of year to raise community awareness of this issue and art is the perfect medium.
