President's Message Staying PositiveWith everything in our lives seemingly cancelled for the short term it is always great to see signs that hope is not lost. Every interaction I have, every time I walk around Roswell or when I was delivering groceries to family members this week, I see people who hope for the best. People who are not consumed by the news or over burdened with worry, but people who are making the best out of a bad situation. I hope you all are staying safe and using this time to connect with family, get that project done or just relax and enjoy a break from what is typically a frantic pace of life. Refer People To Local, State & Federal Resources Avoid Spreading RumorsAs I have spoken with people this last week there seems to be some mis-conceptions about what is or isn't allowed during the state-wide shelter in place order. The most common one goes something like this, "I gave all my employees a letter that states we are an essential business just in case they get stopped." Before you comment on social media or go to the trouble of getting employees letters, please check the following resources to get the facts:
- Local Updates: The city has a great page on their site with info/updates for all facets of city operations
- gov.georgia.gov: Governor Kemp has a dedicated page for state wide updates
- Coronavirus.gov: The federal governments recommendations for how to protect ourselves and stay safe
Mail In Help Gift Cards For HomeStretchHomeStretch saw an abundance of community support at the onset of these tough times. They have also been committed to helping their existing families by reducing or delaying fees and planned price increases. They will continue to monitor and make adjustments to support families during this difficult time. They are asking for monetary donations, Visa and Wal-Mart gift cards in $25 denominations. If you are inclined to help, please mail gift cards to HomeStretch at 89 Grove Way, Roswell, GA 30075. Support Local Restaurant Employees Virtual Tip Jar
Hope Roswell has created a ‘virtual tip jar’ to help support our Roswell restaurant employees. The servers/staff need our help NOW. Tips that we'd ordinarily leave for them can be sent directly to their Venmo or Paypal accounts listed in the spreadsheet. The list is being updated daily. (If you know a restaurant owner who would like to participate, please have them email Brenda Orlans at bmorlans@mindspring.com)

Heroes Work Here Thanking Our Health Care Workers
A group of anonymous Roswell Rotarians paid for this sign to go up outside of Wellstar North Fulton so their employees would know our community appreciates them. As a club we would like to buy them all a meal for a total of 400 meals across 2 shifts. Please consider making a contribution to help us buy our health care works a meal as a way to show our thanks.

Family Volunteer Opportunity Help Water Plants On Canton St.
The Historic Roswell Beautification Project is looking for volunteers to help water the hanging baskets in the historic district. It is an every other day thing beginning in late April. They have two 20 gallon water carts that can be pushed down Canton Street. Ideally, they would like two people on each cart. With both carts in service it will take a couple hours or so to complete. This is a great way to get the family out for an activity and volunteer to help our community at the same time.
