We promised a District Conference where The Fun Never Sets, and we are going to have a big piece of that at the 2020 District Celebration! I’m looking forward to seeing a great many of you and your guests on Saturday, June 20 at the Bibb Mill in Columbus, when we celebrate our clubs’ many achievements this Rotary year. Happy Hour starts at 11:30 AM and Jimmy’s Fish Camp luncheon and awards ceremony follows at 12:30 PM. Registration is now open, with a special price of $20.20 to honor our year. Everyone is invited to attend this event.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!
District Governor Jim Squire

Special Thanks to our Speaker from Last Week - Dr. Chip Bragg

We had a wonderful presentation from Dr. Chipp Bragg last week! He shared information from his fifth book, Patriots in Exile: Charleston Rebels in St. Augustine during the American Revolution, which will be released in June of this year. (#5) about the Revolutionary Army. Chip’s lifelong passion for American history has resulted in the publication of more than fifty articles and four books—two about the Civil War and two about the Revolutionary War. We were treated to many great stories and articles from his book and learned much about events as they happened during the Revolutionary Way. Thanks for a great presentation!

Invite from Andre Marria for the National Presentation Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative

Our Youth Leadership Council is participating in the close out Office of Population Affairs National Expo next Wednesday, May 27th at 9:00 am on ZOOM.

This is a National Presentation Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initative and only 50 programs are being showcased. We were selected and our Rotary Club will be represented by three past presidents; Jeff Zoller, Teri White and me due to our clubs' five year commitment to the Youth Leaderdhip Council. I believe it was first funded during Scott's year.

We were asked to participate because of our partnership and our support of the Morehouse initiative. I hope you will encourage Rotarians to support our teens as they share what they have learned over the past five years
