You and a guest are invited to join the Dunwoody Family of Rotary on Friday, December 10 at the Dunwoody Country Club for our annual gala luncheon. Do You Believe in Magic? Then Join Us This Saturday for a Dunwoody Tradition

Do you remember the childhood story of Rapunzel, locked in a room and tasked with turning straw into gold? We have a similar opportunity on Saturday, December 4 at 9 AM when we meet to transform about 1,000 books into magical holiday gifts for the students of Dresden and Kingsley Elementary Schools. We'll also enjoy coffee and breakfast goodies. It all takes place at President Carter Stout’s offices, 4675 N. Shallowford Road, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA 30338. Our work to add bookplates and Spanish/English dictionary cards will be done in no time at all!   [more]

Service Opportunity
Toys for Tots Is Counting On Us - Bring Unwrapped Toys Next Friday

For many years, Dunwoody Rotarians have been very generous in supporting local Marines in their Toys for Tots Drive. We want to make this the best year ever! So look for toys, bikes and games and bring them to the Holiday luncheon on December 10! With your generosity, we can make this holiday season the best yet for needy local youth!

Support Our Fundraiser
Whiskey-Cigar Raffle #3 Set December 21

We have successfully completed two of our three raffles - and are looking for your help to make drawing #3 a big success!  Tell your friends - especially your whiskey-loving friends that the prize is a bottle of Blanton's Original Single Barrel - the world's first single barrel bourbon with two matched hand-rolled cigars. This bourbon's flavor profile is sweet with notes of citrus and oak. Its creamy vanilla nose is teased with caramel and butterscotch, all underscored by familiar baking spices such as cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. It could be a perfect holiday gift!

Tickets are $25 - and there are only 66 tickets left to buy of the 150 available! Direct interested parties to whiskey-raffle.com. And remember, all funds raised go to the Dunwoody Rotary Charitable Fund to fund our work in the community and the world.

Thank You
Thanksgiving Magic ... Dunwoody Rotary Making a Difference

It is with a full heart that I send this letter. For several years now I have told you about a tradition that I started with our daughter Claudia in Kingsley Elementary School. I asked for support knowing full well that this was not a school your children would be assigned to, but I did so because this school is in your back yard and has many families with financial difficulties and hungry children. I also did so because I know Rotary has a heart.

Well, once again, your response was overwhelming, and Claudia and I can’t thank you enough for making our 5th Kingsley Harvest Basket program such a tremendous success. We ordered 80 turkeys from the Dunwoody Lidl store and they gave us a very generous price on 14 to 19 lb Butterball turkeys. We also had help
