President's MessageRotary Major Donor Achieving the milestone of Major Donor is a great honor. When your brother suffered from Polo and you designate your donation to Rotary’s Polio effort it takes on a special personal flavor as Sid Disher has done. It was my pleasure to be a part of our ceremony as District Governor Mary Ligon pined Sid’s major donor pin on his lapel. We are very fortunate to have a great leader at the district level in Mary. She has encouraged us to be creative in attracting new members, support the YPA movement with our youth and find ways to encourage our young women of our community to achieve great things in life. Thank you, Mary, for being a part of our great club as District Governor. This week you won’t want to miss our surprise guest speakers, to hear about some miracles right here in our own community. I am sure you will come away feeling encouraged and proud to be a part of our supportive family of Rotary.

Roswell Rotary Blood Drive at Gate City
The American Red Cross is currently facing an emergency blood shortage. Donor turnout has reached the lowest levels of the year as many delayed giving amid a return to the workplace and in-person learning for many families, as well as the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across the country due to the Delta variant. As Roswell Rotarians let's live up to our motto: "Service above Self". Please take a moment to consider the gift of life! As of this writing we've only received 20% commitments for donations. We challenge all of you to get a friend, family member or neighbor and sign up for November 3rd 10:00am - 6:00pm blood drive at Gate City. You'll feel good that you did and you'll be saving many lives.
Click here to reserve 60 minutes on Nov. 3rd to donate. For more information, contact Darrell Bartlett or Hal Schlenger. Our thanks to Pat Rains and Michael Curling for their current and past help saving lives in our community.
