Project Impact...
This Weeks Program!

As part of our 100th anniversary celebration, our Rotary Club’s leadership discussed the idea of some kind of ‘big-impact’ project that would benefit our community for years to come. We were tasked with helping to identify some alternative big-impact project ideas. To that end, on June 19th we conducted a brainstorming session with a number of community leaders, and in that session, we learned a great deal on issues ranging from ‘health and wellness’ to ‘food and nutrition’ to ‘housing’ to ‘safety.’  We have covered the first part and now we will cover the second part. Our focus for this week is coming from the  Housing-Related panel focusing on the needs in the community and the housing issues we face.

What You Missed Last Week!

Last week we had an amazing program honoring our own Rotarians. Foundations are a huge part of our club and what we do. We as a club have giving more than $500,000 to bring change not only in our local community but around the world. You are always so generous in your giving. Fran who is the foundation chair, took time out to acknowledge, Teri Hurst for her hard-work and dedication in keeping everyone together and Marta Turner for being a major asset to the club and her role with Foundations. We acknowledge and celebrate you two wonderful women and your hard-work does not go unnoticed as with many other Rotarians.

Our recipients last week were: Paul Hancock PHF+1, Wayne Newsome PHF+2, Terry Rouse PHF+2, Mary Beth Donaldson PHF+5, Jay Flowers PHF+6, Rick Piper PHF+7, Jeff Zoeller PHF+8, and what a honor to celebrate and reflect on John Glenn & Pat Glenn Major Donor Level 2 ($25,000 and above).
