"First, have a definite, clear practical ideal; a goal, an objective. Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends; wisdom, money, materials, and methods. Third, adjust all your means to that end." -Aristotle
We have a unique position as an organization to continue to do good in the world. The only way that is possible is to understand that times have changed and we have an opportunity to change with the time. What a great meeting and program with the DG Mary Ligon, followed by the reception at the Garden Center. On behalf of The Rotary Foundation, she honored our club for, 100% Foundation Giving, Every Rotarian Every Year Club and our Contributions to Polio. She also gifted and acknowledge two members who serve at the district level, Past President Andre Marria (District Governor Nominee) and Past President Teri White (District Treasure). Thank you DG Mary Ligon for sharing with us during this time of the year and reminding us the goals of Rotary.
Special Thanks to the Jazz Band from Thomas County Central High School for bring us some holiday entertainment. It is always a special treat when they come!
You have done it gain. Thank you to each and every Rotarian who took time out of their day to be a light and ring the bell for the Salvation Army. Every shift was covered and every person showed up and that's why being a Rotarian is so great!
We received a $2,500 District grant and partnered with the Boys and Girls Club to provide equipment for printing to the students. We punched a 3D printer and 2 cricut machines. With these machines the students will have an opportunity to learn how to use them and make items to learn about being an entrepreneur.
