Join us today to welcome our own Robert Hall, Past Director, Rotary International, as he updates us on where Rotary stands in our fight to End Polio. Robert led the Rotary Club of Dunwoody as our President in 1995-96 and District 6900 as District Governor in 2001-02. He is an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta. He has served RI in many capacities - as Director, on the Board’s Executive Committee, Chair of the 2017 Atlanta International Convention Host Committee and the Rotary Foundation Centennial Celebration Committee, Chair of the Global Networking Groups & Audit Committees, a Council of Legislation representative, District Foundation Chair, and as a member of the End Polio Now Committee and the RI Director and RI President Nominating Committees. He has represented the RI President at district conferences and been a keynote speaker in several states and countries for Rotary and other organizations.
Robert has participated in several international projects and led a National Immunization Day (NID) team to India in 2006 (pictured here). He is a Major Donor and Bequest Society member and was honored as an Arch Klumph Society Circle of Honor member. Robert has received the Service Above Self Award, the Citation for Meritorious Service, the Distinguished Service Award and the Regional and International Awards for a Polio Free World.
Robert and his wife Charlene now live in Cumming, Georgia. Charlene is an Honorary Member of our club.
On May 16, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody will host the FORE! the Memories golf tournament at St. Marlo CC benefiting The Longest Day program of Alzheimer's of Georgia. We want every Dunwoody Rotarian to have a part in this event. For now, we're focused on the sponsorships; watch for volunteer opportunities soon.
