Join Us Tomorrow - March 16 - for Thirsty Thursday

Join us at Carbonara Trattoria in Dunwoody Village for this month's Thirsty Thursday. Maybe put on a touch of green to celebrate St. Patrick's Day eve. have a libation, order some of Carbonara's great food, and help us thank the restaurant for supporting our activities - be that through donations for fundraisers or gift cards we used to honor speakers at the GRSP Leadership weekend. Let's bring a crowd to show how much we appreciate Carbonara's support!

The fun begins at 5:30 pm and goes until at least 7:00 pm. Look forward to seeing you there!

Golf Tournament Update
Please Help Dottie Toney!

By Dottie's own admission, she has a troubled relationship with the game of golf - she learned all the rules but don't ask her to play the game. On the other hand, Dottie has great organizational skills - that's why she's in charge of recruiting and scheduling volunteers for our 2nd annual golf tournament on May 15, 2022. Check in with Dottie to volunteer - for morning set-up and check-in, to be an observer/recorder for things like the hole-in-one and longest drive competition, or to set up for the auction. Dottie will find a place for anyone who wants to help the day of the tournament.

Of course, you can still recruit golfers and sponsors for the event.  Direct interested parties to https://rcdgolftournament.com!

DeKalb Rotary Council Breakfast on March 31

You are in for a special treat at the end of March - our annual gathering of the Rotarians from the eight Rotary Clubs of DeKalb County. We will honor Rotarians from those clubs for their achievements, and recognize teachers and their role in making a difference in our communities. Plan to join us on March 31 at Georgia Piedmont Technical College DeKalb Conference Center, 495 N Indian Creek Dr., Clarkston, GA 30021. Festivities begin at 7:00 am.

As part of the program, we have an amazing speaker: Paige Buzbee Pushkin, Executive Director of the Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE) - an organization created by the state legislature with the mission of supporting “educational excellence for Georgia’s students.” This week Paige shared with us that she participated in a Rotary cultural exchange program in Argentina about 11 years ago, and is excited to be joining us to celebrate "Service Above Self."

Paige will be introduced by our own Honorary Member Buzz Law. Mark your calendar for March 31 and plan to celebrate with us! Note: This takes the place of Dunwoody's March 31 meeting.
