This Week
DeKalb Rotary Council Breakfast at Georgia Piedmont Technical College

Join your Dunwoody friends and Rotarians from all eight clubs in the DeKalb Rotary Council next Friday - March 31 - to recognize teachers and their role in making a difference in our communities. We will also honor Rotarians from those clubs for their achievements. Thiis meeting replaces our regular Friday meeting (no meeting at Le Meridien), and will be held at Georgia Piedmont Technical College DeKalb Conference Center, 495 N Indian Creek Dr., Clarkston, GA 30021. Festivities begin at 7:00 am.

As part of the program, we have an amazing speaker: Paige Buzbee Pushkin, Executive Director of the Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE) and the foundation’s first full time staff person.  (The GFPE was formed in 2010 by an act of the state legislature and has as its mission “educational excellence for Georgia’s students.”)  As such, she has been responsible for building the infrastructure, brand, and board, as well as casting the strategic vision and operationalizing it.

Paige will be introduced by our own Honorary Member Buzz Law. a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner is President of Creative Financial Group Ltd., a premier planning firm in Atlanta where he counsels affluent individuals and their families on comprehensive financial, estate, investment, and tax planning matters since 1984. Buzz is the founder of Creative Financial Group, which became a subsidiary of Synovus Corporation in February 2001.  Buzz is a 25-year member of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody with 22 years of perfect attendance and has been an honorary member since 2022.  [more]

Starting April 7 (Next Week), Friday Meetings Will Be In Person Only

We want everyone back in person. The Board has voted to discontinue the use of FaceBook Live or Zoom after this Friday's meeting (next week is DeKalb Rotary Council breakfast, no online option). We hope this action encourages you to join us in person - and also take this action to help protect our speakers and any business content they present.

Opportunity to Support
Dunwoody Arts Festival Needs You!

Dunwoody Rotarians have been Community Partners with Splash Festivals (festival organizers) since “DAY 1” (2010) in helping to make the Dunwoody Art Festival an inviting signature event for the Dunwoody community. Please mark your calendar to join the fun to help Dunwoody Art Festival 2023 be a best-ever experience for one and all!

The festival team appreciates our continued support, "The Dunwoody Rotary Club is once again our loyal friend and partner.  Their community spirit is reflected in everything they do, and we are very proud to have them help present Dunwoody Art Festival 2023.  All we need is YOU!  We are grateful for the help of the wonderful volunteers like you."

In exchange for the amazing volunteer support by Dunwoody Rotary and Atlanta Rotaract members, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody receives a complimentary, well-located exhibit space at the festival.  We are seeking volunteers for the festival and Rotarians to help host the Rotary exhibit and to “Tell the RCD Story”.

Golf Tournament Update
Is Everyone Working on Their Golf Game?

We know our GRSP student - Shashwat Pradhan - is working with the golf team at Oglethorpe University. And recent pictures indicate that our Rotary Youth Exchange student, Camille, was out practicing her game at Top Golf.

Even if you're not working on your game, we hope you're ready to support Dunwoody's second annual FORE the Memories Golf Tournament on May 15 at the prestigious St. Marlo Country Club in Duluth, GA. We have room for golfers, volunteers and sponsors - check in with Dottie Toney Ransom if you'd like to volunteer, and visit the tournament website or contact Rick Woods if you'd like to be a sponsor.

We can't promise to improve your golf game, but we do know that your support will benefit the Alzheimer's Association and other charities we support in the Dunwoody Community.
