This Week's Speaker
Dave Ragone, Atlanta Falcons Offensive Coach

Plan on joining us this Friday, June 23, for a very special speaker - Dave Ragone, offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons. If your friends love to come hear Tony Barnhart speak about college football, they'll enjoy this Friday's speaker too! Take the opportunity to invite people you think might be interested in Rotary too!

Dave joined the Falcons in this role in 2021. In 2022, Atlanta offense led the NFL in fewest penalties, finished third in the NFL in rushing yards per game and 10th in third-down conversion rate. Atlanta also had the third-highest successful play rate on rushing attempts, based on EPA, at 45.1 percent. The Falcons rushing attack averaged 74.5 more rushing yards per game in 2022 than it did in 2021, resulting in the largest one-season improvement by any team since at least 2001. [more]

Service and Fellowship
Start the Rotary Year Right with the Dunwoody Fourth of July Celebration!

Join the Dunwoody Family of Rotary for our "New Year's Celebration" on Thursday, July 4 - where will marching in the Dunwoody Fourth of July parade and serve up hot dogs - just as we have for most of the last 30 years!

Watch for a special bulletin early next week about where to be if you want to join in the FUN! Plan to join us for:
  1. Float decorating on July 1 - location TBD and shared next week
  2. Walking along Mount Vernon in the parade - from about 8:00-10:30 am on the Fourth
  3. Setting up and helping out in the hotdog stand in Dunwoody Village - from about 10 am-1 pm on the Fourth
  4. Baking goods to sell at the hotdog stand.

Questions about how you can help? Contact Kobelah Svensen Bennah or Ed Holliday about the hot dog stand, including baked goods, and Alison Norris or Jennie Stipick for the float and parade.

Come and bring your family for a day of fun and fellowship!

Golf Tournament Update
Congratulations on a BIG Success!

Our FORE the Memories! golf tournament brough in more than $60,000 - with a profit of $40,000. As a result, we will donate $25,000 to Alzheimer’s this Friday, and add $15,000 to the Dunwoody Rotary Charitable Fund.

We had a great crew helping manage the event, and wonderful support from the club and community. About 40% of our members took an active role in the tournament - as sponsors, golfers and/or volunteers. Special thanks to our Gold Sponsors - Chris Gutschenritter ofAshford Financial and Mark Galvin of Discover Dunwoody, and to Ardy Bastien, our Silver Sponsor - and to Bob O'Brien, our fundraising chair, who received an Outstanding Achievement Award from President Jennifer for all of his efforts.
