PAST DISTRICT GOVERNORS
FAMILY OF ROTARY
Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynn Dunn and all news should be directed to her at lynn.dunn@rmcpa.com
Life can be dangerous at times, but few people choose to
face down danger to uncover facts and help their fellow man. Six-time Emmy
award-winning investigative reporter, Dale Cardwell has spent his entire career
busting bad guys, protecting consumers, and saving taxpayers millions of
dollars. His 34 years in television have taken him to newsrooms across the southeast,
but Dale marks his 11 years with the powerhouse Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB as
the crucible that formed who he is today. In 2009, Dale founded his consumer
research and referral website trustdale.com. This site provides a forum where
consumers can choose between companies which have met Dale’s seven-point
investigative standard and be assured that their choice is backed up by the
best consumer protection policy in the business, called the Trust Dale “Make-it-Right”
guarantee.
But Dale’s commitment to consumer protection doesn’t end
there. Dale and his team also investigate and expose bad companies that
intentionally harm consumers. Dale lives in DeKalb county, Georgia with Angie,
his wife of 33 years. The couple have two adult children who live with their
spouses in Atlanta.
Roswell Rotary After Hours ended 2023 with a bang. The guest speaker was Mary Margaret Connell, John Connell's mother! She has worked as both a criminal attorney and an advertising & marketing executive. The club loved hearing her "Top 10" careers tips and everyone walked away with a new idea or goal to incorporate into their work life. The club also gathered dozens of toys to be donated to a local family as part of their Adopt-A-Family service project. The next RRAH meeting will be Jan. 16. Happy Holidays!

Roswell Rotary After Hours has adopted a road! Their portion of road is between RaceTrac on Highway 92 and Chipotle on Mansell. It's the club's job to clean it several times a year, and the club gathered recently for their first clean-up! The crew enjoyed making Roswell a little more beautiful by picking up trash while socializing along the way. Stay posted for the next clean-up project!
