Resource Table

Don't forget our resource table at the entrance to our meeting room at the Plaza. In addition to registering your attendance and picking up your name badge, you can:

  • Check and update your Rotary profile; 
  • Check your contributions or pay your dues;
  • Sign WeCare cards for members;
  • Sign up for service projects and events;
  • Get copies of the weekly newsletter, membership directory and other items;
  • Purchase Rotary t-shirts, bumper stickers, and other Rotary merchandise; and 
  • Buy raffle tickets to benefit the scholarship fund. 

Arrive early to take care of any of these items. Check in begins at 11:45 a.m.

Blood Drive

The OneBlood Blood Mobile will be onsite at the Plaza on Thursday, July 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All donors will receive a $20 gift card, a tote bag and a wellness checkup, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count and cholesterol screening.

Savannah Taylor: Miss Thomasville 2024

Miss Thomasville 2024 Savannah Taylor will discuss her platform from the recent 2024 Miss Georgia pageant: Just Breathe, which details the mental health issues our country faces and addresses suicide prevention. She also will discuss her experiences at this year's Miss Georgia pageant and share how her participation in the Miss America organization has positively impacted her life and mental health.

This is an updated program for Thursday's meeting.

Gwen Tyler: Crime Victims Bill of Rights

Gwen Tyler, victims and witness advocate for the Thomasville District Attorney's office, will provide an update on the Georgia Crime Victims Bill of Rights

Gwen has been an advocate in the community for the past 18 years, nationally certified for 10 years. She actively supports the Thomasville/Thomas County Homeless Coalition, Treehouse Advocacy Center and Halcyon Home for Battered Women. She is also a member of the Child Abuse Council, the Sexual Assault Response Team, and the Multidisciplinary Team. She actively educates the community about services provided by the Victim-Witness Assistance Program throughout the year, including the National Crime Victims' Rights Week ceremony in April and the Domestic Violence Awareness program, in conjunction with Halcyon Home, in October.

Andrea Collins: Workforce Development Plan Update

Andrea Collins, executive director of the Thomasville-Thomas County Chamber of Commerce, will discuss the Workforce Development Plan, a comprehensive strategy to enhance the region's labor force and economic vitality. This plan leverages local resources, educational institutions, and workforce development programs to attract and retain talent, foster skill development, and promote job growth.
