Message from the President

**Exciting Meeting with llamas and More!**

What a delightful meeting we had this week! We were thrilled to have Chai, the Happy Tails dog, and Pie, the therapy llama, join us. Their presence brought so much joy and laughter to everyone. We also had the pleasure of meeting Kaho, our high school student from Japan. It was wonderful to learn about her experiences and share our Rotary spirit with her. In addition, we had an enlightening session on how to make our lives healthier, accompanied by a tasting of some delicious ice cream flavors for our Miss Mary’s Ice Cream competition. If you missed it, don't worry—we’ll have more flavors to sample this week!

Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome a speaker who will give us an intriguing talk on private investigation. Get ready to learn about the fascinating world of "Who and Where are you for us to find?"

Stay tuned for more updates and continue to participate in our activities!

Welcome Norma Tillman, Private Investigator, our Keynote Speaker

Norma Mott Tillman is a native Nashvillian who attended East High School, the Metro Police Academy, Vol State College, Nashville Tech, and Watkins Institute.  Her background includes working with the Federal Government; Law Enforcement; Private Investigations; and Real Estate.  She is a 37-year veteran private investigator, author of several non-fiction books, and has taught continuing educational training seminars to professional investigators, law enforcement, and attorneys.  Her books include “How To Find Almost Anyone, Anywhere”; “The Man with the Turquoise Eyes”; “The Adoption Searcher’s Handbook”; and “Private Investigation 101”.

Norma has spoken around the country at professional conferences, colleges, associations, and organizations.  Her father,  Harry Mott, was a 27-year veteran Homicide Detective with the Nashville Police Department and her cousin, Gen. Hugh Mott was a former Chief of Police of the MNPD. In 1974 she began working at the MNDP as a dispatcher and it was there that she became proficient on the police computer and the NCIC database.  In 1987, attorneys contacted her asking for help to find missing heirs and missing witnesses. She obtained a Private Investigator License to work for them, left the police department, started a private investigation agency, and eventually specialized in locating and reuniting separated families and missing heirs.  Over the years she has appeared as a guest on numerous national television shows including Oprah, The View, Nancy Grace, Case Closed, The Vicki Lawrence Show, The Leeza Gibbons Show, and many more. She has been featured in Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan, Emmy, and other magazines. Norma has acted in commercials, music videos, print, and films.

Norma has served on the Board of Directors of the Mt. Juliet Chamber of Commerce and the Mt. Juliet Rotary Club.  Her two favorite mottos are: “No One Cares How Much You Know Until They Know How Much You Care” and “If It Is To Be, It’s Up To Me”.

Silent Auction at the Golf & Tennis Tournament

Once again, our Golf & Tennis tournament will feature a Silent auction. Karen is looking for restaurant gift cards - please bring them to our regular meeting this week and next.  Let’s see how many we can get!  The more cards we get, the better we will do.  Please also consider donating other items like your vacation home, event tickets, jewelry, a new cooler, new grill, designer purse, and other upscale items. In total, we made almost $9000 in the auction last year, including gift cards.  This year, with your help, our goal is to clear $12,000!

Please contact Karen Schwank 404.409.3658 for more info.

Wine & Liquor Pull Donations Requested

Calling all Rotary members to bring in one bottle of wine or bourbon worth $25+ for the Tournament. This one activity raised almost $2000 last year so your donations help further the mission of Rotary.
