President Nancy's Message

Dear Rotarians,

As the holiday season arrives, we want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a wonderful time with your families and friends. This is a season for togetherness, reflection, and celebration, and we hope you’ll enjoy the next two weeks off to embrace the spirit of the holidays. Take time to relax, create special memories, and maybe even raise a glass to another incredible year of service!

But don’t forget—mark your calendars for our first meeting of the new year on January 9! We’re kicking things off with an exciting program featuring a speaker who will share the fascinating details behind the move from Eggleston Hospital to the new Arthur M. Blank Children’s Hospital—an amazing feat accomplished in just 12 hours, with every patient safely relocated. You won’t want to miss it!

And we have a fun surprise to top it off—a special guest to help us celebrate Elvis Presley’s birthday (January 8)! It’s sure to be a fun and informative meeting to start the new year.

Wishing you all the joy, warmth, and magic of the season. We can’t wait to see you in January!

Happy Holidays,

Nancy Alterman-Roswell Rotary President 2024-25

Roswell Rotary Rocks Seniors for Holidays!

There were so many smiles and happy tears as Roswell Rotary treated Roswell Meals on Wheels seniors and members of the Roswell Community Center with Christmas Gift bags.

A big thank you to the Wolff Family Foundation. When Bill Wolff called President Nancy to ask how he could help at Christmas, Nancy knew where there was a big need. Seniors on a fixed income can sometimes lack money for just the basics. So the gift bags were filled with practical goods like paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex) and cleaning products and detergent. Each person was also given a $50 gift card! And thank you Ameris Bank for donating the beautiful red gift bags. Presentation makes a big difference.

But the biggest joy was the smiles on the faces. The seniors got a gift bag, but our Roswell Rotarians got to experience that joy and spirit. It was a project of love for everyone involved. Thank you!
