Join us at the Embassy Suites this Friday to welcome Alan Mothner, CEO of the Spruill Center for the Arts in Dunwoody, a nonprofit with a vision to serve as a beacon for the community by providing access and opportunities for all to create and enjoy the arts. Last weekend, the Spruill Center celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Alan has served as the Center's CEO since March 2020.In that role, he oversees long-term strategy and day-to-day operations of the Spruill Education Center and the Spruill Gallery. Calling All Volunteers
Dunwoody Arts Festival - May 9-11

Calling all volunteers to help transform Dunwoody Village into a thriving artist market. The 15th annual Dunwoody Art Festival features artisans from across the country, a creative Kidz Zone, entertainment and tasty festival food. Mark your calendar now. Be part of the team that will make this 2025 signature event a “best-ever” success.

The Rotary Club of Dunwoody has been part of the Festival since its inaugural year in 2010. In exchange for the amazing volunteer support by Dunwoody Rotarians and Atlanta Rotaract, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody receives a complimentary ($2,000+ value), well-located exhibit space ($2,000+ Value) at the festival. We utilize this exhibit as the center for the Rotary Club’s community outreach - a place where we have recruited new members and enlisted potential Rotary Youth Exchange host families and outbound students.

There are two ways to help:

  • Be a Festival volunteer: Welcome artists and help them set up on Friday (6-9 pm) and/or Saturday (6-9 am)
  • Be a Rotary Club of Dunwoody ambassador: Help share our story with the community. We will staff the booth from 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday; let us know when you might be able to help that happen.

You can register by completing a form on Friday, or contacting Jay Brackman (404-483-5886 or by email at atlcubsfan@gmail.com) or Kathy Brandt  (404-797-0705 or email at kgbrandt1@comcast.net). Please include name, cell phone #, requested shifts, and t-shirt size.

Golf Tournament: May 19, 2025
Teeing Up Opportunities to Help with FORE the Memories

When golfers tee off at our 4th Annual FORE! the Memories tournament on May 19, 2025, they will be part of a major fundraiser that provides financial support for Alzheimer’s Association - The Longest Day, Anchor Place Respite - Dunwoody and our RCD Charitable Fund that helps support ALL our other activities. You can be part of that fundraiser too - as a Sponsor (for as little as $25 or as much as you'd like to share), as a Tournament Day volunteer (contact Allison Norris), or by making a donation to the auction that will take place once the golfers come off the course (contact Neil MacDonald).
