We can't wait to enjoy a fantastic evening at the ASO! One of our most popular events is coming up, Rotary Night at the ASO, our annual concert and reception at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. This year we have arranged our night to correspond with the Grand Opening of the new Goizueta Stage, and the concert will feature some of the ASO’s leading musicians (Mozart, Wagner, Rossini, and Janáček) in a chamber concert in this superb intimate space (only 150 seats). As in past years, this event will include a reception with open bar and hors d’oeuvres followed by great seats for the concert, at a discounted price of $75 per person. The evening at the ASO is on Friday January 30 at 6:30 pm for a reception in the new Loft Space, in the Woodruff Arts Center immediately followed at 8:00 pm by the chamber concert on the new Goizueta Stage.

Rotary on the Road at Scouting America – January 19Each year, Buckhead Rotary proudly supports Scouting America with a $14,000 annual donation, helping fund Eagle Scout badges for over 450 deserving scouts. The Eagle Scout badge represents the highest achievement in scouting, symbolizing leadership, service, perseverance, and a lifelong commitment to community values, qualities that align closely with Rotary’s mission of service above self. This regularly scheduled Monday meeting on January 19th at 12:15 pm will be held at the Atlanta Area Council, Scouting America headquarters, located at 1800 Circle 75 Parkway, Atlanta. Attendees will enjoy remarks from the Atlanta Area Council, Scouting America executives, hear sunshine from Brandon Smith, Senior District Director and fellow Buckhead Rotarian, witness a meaningful flag ceremony presented by a local troop, and have the opportunity for optional tours of the facility following the program. Please plan to arrive early to grab your lunch and get settled. The program will begin promptly at 12:15 PM on Monday January 19th. Twas the Night of Giving and Spreading Holiday Cheer at the Shepherd CenterTwas the night before Christmas and all through the hospital, four members were on the move, bringing holiday cheer to Shepherd Center patients and children during the Christmas Eve dinner service. Instead of sugarplums, members Miriam Falaki, Sam Alston (not pictured), President Shelley Hammell and her husband Joe delivered Elf on the Shelf Plushee Pals, sparking smiles, laughter, and a little extra magic for young patients spending the holiday in the hospital. Buckhead Rotarians and The Lumistella Company, the women-led creators of the beloved Elf on the Shelf universe, generously donated these Plushee Pals. Shepherd Center is a nationally recognized hospital specializing in rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and other complex neurological conditions. We were honored to share a small gesture of kindness and show these young patients, and their families, that they are not alone this holiday season.
