Thursday, Feb. 26 Hands & Hearts for Horses Field Trip
This week, Rotary will go on a field trip to visit Hands & Hearts for Horses. Rotarian and program director Susie Shin will provide lunch and an activity. The activity will focus on leadership through presence, body awareness, and non-verbal communication. To participate in the activity and engage with the horses, please wear closed-toe shoes. Additionally, speaker Fran Gilbert gives us an overview of Sportsability Alliance and its work to enrich lives through accessible, inclusive recreation and active leisure. Thursday, March 5 Regular Meeting Location UpdateOn Thursday, March 5, regular club meetings will return to the Plaza Restaurant at 12:15 p.m. Jackie Leatherman, president and CEO of Discover Thomasville, will be our guest speaker at our first meeting back at the Plaza. 
As part of the transition, service projects chair Melanie Cromartie has announced a team to strengthen the club’s relationship with the Vashti Center. Third Thursday meetings at Second Harvest to pack produce will continue at 11:30 a.m.
Monday, March 9 Board MeetingThe board will meet Monday, March 9 t 5:15 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. All directors and/or their deputies should attend and send reports to their fellow board members at least a day in advance for review. Members are welcome to attend. In fact, all red-ribbon members are required to attend at least one board meeting during their time as a red-ribbon member.

Foundation and the Rotary Club of Thomasville are planning the inaugural Thomasville Ritz Music Festival on Saturday, March 21, featuring an incredible variety of music performances – country, R&B, country rock, pop, southern soul funk, and music from some of the best DJs in the Southeast. Proceeds from the festival will benefit R.E.A.D. and power its literacy initiative and support other life-changing programs and partnerships for children in K-12 schools in our community.
