Rotary Year 1928 — 1929

At the District Conference held in Atlanta in the Spring of 1928, Abit Nix of Athens, Georgia, became the first Governor of the District of Georgia, and at the same time the Rotary fiscal year was changed to run from July to July instead of April to April. Abit Nix served until July, 1929, and later became Georgia’s first International Director.
