Rotary Year 1943 — 1944

In 1943-44 that grand old wheelhorse of Georgia Rotary, Will Watt, of Thomasville, became governor.

It was under his fine leadership that the Blackshear Club was organized. It was also during his term that Dawson was organized, as well as Camilla, however Camilla did not actually become a club until the following administration, but it was Will that actually set the machinery in motion that resulted in the formation of these clubs. His administration was outstanding, and Georgia Rotary is much in his debt.
